Search and Rescue crews came to the aid of a woman overdue from a trip up Lussier River over the weekend.
Kimberley SAR was called Sunday morning to locate a missing woman, alongside search and rescue teams from Cranbrook and the Columbia Valley.
Crew members found the woman with her vehicle, which had ran out of gas while in the backcountry.
The woman was healthy and was quickly found due to leaving a trip plan and staying with her vehicle.
Search and Rescue reminds backcountry enthusiasts to call 911 or activate an SOS beacon if you have an emergency and to stay in one place for search crews to find you.
